JazzHall

The room

JazzHall opened in 2021 by the Outer Alster, inside the Hochschule für Musik und Theater campus. It is the city’s new jazz room: around 200 seats, a stage at audience level and an acoustic designed from scratch for acoustic jazz and chamber Latin jazz.

The sound

The hall programs concerts from the Hochschule’s jazz degree itself and an international agenda passing through Hamburg. Fixed seating, a seated audience, a different kind of night from a club.

Getting there

Entrance to the building is via Milchstraße 12, not Harvestehuder Weg. U1 Hallerstraße, Bus 15 at Alsterchaussee and Bus 19 at Böttgerstraße.
