10 Years of Primera Diversión – Anniversary Concert

PRIMERA DIVERSIÓN takes its audience into the world of salsa classics with a unique big band sound. Energetic wind substitutes in their own arrangements, driving Afro-Cuban rhythms and contagious joy of playing ensure an exuberant fiesta mood within a very short time. Saborrrr!Caribbean soundscapes transform the courtyard into a musical and cultural feast for all the senses. With 18 musicians, PRIMERA DIVERSIO ́N brings the audience to the boil. The focus is on the outstanding vocal soloists Mairé Ramirez (Cuba), Noydee Fonseca (Cuba), Effy (Germany) and Osvel Morales Mesa (Cuba), who give the sound a powerful, authentic voice. But that’s not all! Among other things, the following are planned for the anniversary: an exhibition on the history of the band, a documentary film about 10 years of Primera Diversion, former musicians who are part of the band’s history, dance performances, a DJ during breaks, a spacious dance floor that invites you to participate. The anniversary concert is therefore much more than a performance – it is a celebration of the encounter, the memory and the common passionfor salsa, Latin jazz and live music.
